Club President Shirley Orlando was pleased to present the $1,000 scholarship to Cameron Gruenberg, of South Beloit, Illinois.
The Mid-States Morgan Horse Club has named Cameron Gruenberg as the winner of the club’s 2023 scholarship.
A 2023 graduate of Hononegah Community High School in Rockton, Illinois, Cameron plans to use the scholarship to advance the next phase of her education. She is starting her first year at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Cameron has been involved with Morgans her entire life at her family’s Stone Ledge Farm, in South Beloit, Illinois. In the essay that accompanied her scholarship application, she discussed life lessons learned from a special Morgan gelding who was a favorite in the farm’s academy program. Cameron’s list of accomplishments includes world championships in the classic and hunter pleasure divisions. This year, she is partnering with RCV All the Rage GCH and Zanetti GCH in saddle seat equitation and classic pleasure saddle.
The club is proud to present this $1,000 scholarship to further the education of youth members who demonstrate a commitment to the Morgan breed.
